“A great base for exploring Galloway Forest Park and experiencing dark skies. The warden is friendly and helpful and all amenities are clean. The bothy with a kettle, microwave, phone charging point and friend freezer is very useful.”

“We booked this campsite so that we wouldn’t be too far from Galloway Forest. The campsite is extremely clean and the staff are just lovely and so welcoming. We had a lovely view of the pond which had beautiful water lilies in it and ducks. I highly recommend if you just want to get away from everything and have some peace and quiet within nature. Will definitely be returning.”

“We had the pleasure of spending week here, the last week of July. A lovely site, choose your own spot, facilities were perfect for the amount of guests, only 2 showers each but I never had to wait once and they are beutifully clean and hot. Drying areas in the bothy along with fridge freezer kettle and microwave. Washing facilities also, 50p coin operated. Everything is tidy and clean, I couldn’t fault it. Little duck pond to keep the little ones occupied chasing the ducks and cute pub just down the road. Great walks close by and if its peace and quiet you’re after, we found it. Lovely family, very helpfull, big thank you for our lovely holiday.”

“Absolutely lovely campsite. The staff were so friendly and quick to help with any concerns. Facilities were clean and up to covid standard! Would definitely recommend. We had a pitch right next to the duck pond, it was lovely to watch all the ducks. Beautiful sunsets over the pond!”

“We were pleasantly surprised staying at this campsite. The people were friendly, informative and helpful. A lot of thought has clearly gone into the site with clear cleaning, laundry and fresh water facilities. It is one of the cleanest sites I have stayed on with nice showers/toilets and even laundry room. It even comes complete with a bothy for everyone to use, open 9am-9pm with a fridge, microwave and kettle. It was quiet and with trails and a short walk to the pub from the site we will absolutely be coming again. Thank you for creating a home from home.”
