We have fully-equiped statics for hire for those who prefer their creature comforts when on holiday. Each of our static caravans is 12-foot wide with two bedrooms (one double and one twin). They are equipped with WC, wash-hand basin, shower, full size cooker, fire, HD TV, refrigerator, microwave oven and a full range of crockery, cutlery and cooking utensils. We provide the bed linen, complementary tea, coffee, milk, sugar and luxury Shampoo/Conditioner & Shower Gel (only in luxury static) but please bring your own towels and tea towels. This is a dog friendly site but please be considerate and keep your dog on a lead whilst on site and clear up your dog's mess (we provide doggy poo bags free of charge). See terms of hire.
Conditions of hire:
- Full payment is due at least four weeks before the commencement of the holiday.
- No refunds of any monies will be made in the event of a cancellation within four weeks of the holiday start date.
- When a booking is made within four weeks of the day of commencement, the whole hire charge is due and is non-refundable in the event of a cancellation.
- Arrival time is from 2:30pm. Please notify us if you expect to arrive later than 6pm.
- Sub-letting is not permitted.
- One static caravan is for a maximum of two people. The other static caravan is four berth.
- Pets are permitted for a small fee (from £5 per pet per night). However, they must not be left unattended or allowed onto the furniture.
- Every effort is made to ensure that all amenities mentioned within the accommodation are provided and in working order. However, the owners will not be liable for any loss of amenities due to circumstances beyond their control.
- £100 damage holding fee required on arrival
- Guests are requested to notify Reception in the event of breakage or damage to site property. Guests may be charged for any unreasonable damage or breakages. Smoking is not permitted within the accommodation.
- Guests are requested to vacate the accommodation by 11:30am on the day of departure.

Nestled on the edge of the Galloway Forest Park and the UK's first Dark Sky Park, Glentrool Camping and Caravan Site is a quiet and remote site which has been established for more than 30 years. Our facilities include:
- Informal tent area with 8 electric hook-ups available (N.B. No vehicles are permitted on the tent area).
- Motor home service point.
- Bike, boot and dog wash point.
- Showers and hot water included in pitch fee.
- Our own (very popular) Bothy - basically a summer cabin for people to use, but not for overnight accommodation.
- kettle, microwave and fridge/freezer in the bothy.
- House o' Hill Hotel and excellent restaurant only 8 minutes' walk from the site.
- Glentrool Visitor Centre and Cafe within 1.5 miles.
- Dog walk area on site.
- All facilities recently installed or refurbished.
- Three static caravans available for hire (Standard, Premium, Luxury).
- Free WiFi (The WiFi signal is only suitable for general browsing and emails, and is not strong enough for streaming, gaming or catch up TV etc).
- We're on a septic tank so please use organic or green chemical toilet fluid.

Our reception is open from 9am-8pm daily. If you arrive after 6pm, please come and see us between 9am and 10.30am the following morning.
